| About the Event: | MHEA is once again hosting Homeschool Capitol Day at the State Capitol building. If you are planning to attend, we thank you for your support and look forward to seeing you. The Mississippi Legislature will be in session during Capitol Day, and MHEA’s primary goal for this event is to build relationships with our legislators and express our continued desire for favorable homeschooling laws and the precious freedoms we enjoy. We have the opportunity to impact the future of home education for years to come … in one single day. We encourage each of you to visit briefly with your representative and/or senator to express your support for them and ask for their support of your right to homeschool. Capitol Day begins at 1:00 p.m. It is a come-and-go event and usually takes a little over an hour to tour the Capitol building as well as observe the legislative process. |
