I'm hoping the Art Gallery will become part of our homeschool art studies. I went through in a wheelchair last week and it's GREAT; very accessible. The building has had a very recent facelift and it's a friendly, airy space. That said, this is Canada, not Washington, DC, and the gallery does focus on Canadian artists. I was a little disappointed to see that there are only minor works by "big name" artists (like one tiny Van Gogh; blink & you'll miss it) and quite a few we've studied are missing entirely. Still, there are a couple of Monets, a Cezanne, and many others. Plus, there's always something to learn from every artist and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. I'm looking forward to going back!
Caution: admission is pricey; we went because we were gifted a membership.
