This is one of the nicer zoos we have visited. The exhibits look much like their natural habitat. The animals seem to have a nice area to live unlike some zoos where the area is small or even a cage. It is expensive to get in but we are members which is really the way to go if you live close. The shark tank is one of my kids' favorite parts. There's nothing like touching a shark. At various times during the day, you might have the chance to feed a giraffe (small fee), watch an elephant bath, watch a dolphin show or hear a chat about one of your favorite animals. You can pack a lunch to eat outside the entrance at the picnic area but can't take food in the zoo. The restaurants inside are expensive just like they are at any tourist place. There is fun train ride but it isn't the best route. They go by the elephant area and the giraffes which is great. However, a good portion of the ride is through the maintenance building area and along a city street. Still a train ride is a train ride to my kids and they don't care that they don't see the better portions of the zoo while riding. Members don't get a discount or free rides on the train/roller coaster either.

This is a nice zoo to visit. It's very clean, and the staff is very friendly. The fact that it's not a huge zoo makes it great for field trips for a couple reasons; younger kids can easily walk the whole thing, it only takes a few hours to go through, you really feel you are getting your money's worth in the amount of time you have.
