This was a wonderful, hands-on educational experience that was full of family fun. It was well worth the money we spent.

We watched a short video in the main center and looked at some items there. Then we went to see the houses, barn, school.

There were crafts for everyone to do, we still have the jump ropes and the string/button toys we made.

We pet the animals in the barn and the little ones rode a miniature horse. There was also a little cart that a little horse pulled and the kids got to steer that.

We washed laundry on a washboard and put it through the ringer and hung it up to dry. They caught a frog - I can imagine Laura doing that also, but it wasn't part of the tour :)

Then we headed to the school house. It was pulled by big beautiful horses that reminded me of the Morgans that Almonzo owned. The kids all got to take turns leading the wagon, just like Laura would have done with Pa.

We went at the very end of the season and it was more self-guided and not very busy.

There was a picnic area out front so a family would be welcome to bring their own picnic and spend the day.
