 | Ann S., Co-op Member | Montshire is particularly fun in the summer, although crowds are more likely then. Bring a bathing suit and towel.
Start out by exploring the indoor exhibits. There are two floors of great interactive activities for grade-school aged kids. For smaller kids there is an enclosed play area that's lots of fun, but when my daughters were younger they really didn't enjoy the rest of the museum very much. It's more fun for them now that they are older and can read for themselves how to work each activity. They especially love the bubbles.
But the highlight of each visit is the outdoor water exhibit. It's a stream running down a winding path that teaches about erosion. At the bottom is a fountain-style splash pool where kids can make a dam, see little balls float over waterfalls, etc. Lots of fun, but be prepared! They will be soaked :) |

Our favorite stops are the audiokinetic display, How it's Made and the exploded bike. |
