Facility:Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge
Description:Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge, on the Nisqually River Delta in southern Puget Sound, was established in 1974 for the protection of migratory birds. Three thousand acres of salt and freshwater marshes, grasslands, riparian, and mixed forest habitats provide resting and nesting areas for migratory waterfowl, songbirds, raptors, and wading birds.

This is one of our family's favorite places to go birdwatching. We've been going there for years.
Cost is only $3 per family.
It's peaceful and beautiful and it's always different...you never know what waterfowl you will see.
We always love when see Bald Eagles.
