| Description: | When Almanzo was 75 years old his wife, Laura Ingalls Wilder, asked him to tell her about his childhood growing up on a farm near Malone, New York. The story became Farmer Boy. This historic house is the only ORIGINAL house on its original site of all those written about in the Little House book series. It is the only site dedicated to and original to Almanzo Wilder. It is an important piece of northern New York history. Visit to learn more about the historic birthplace of Almanzo Wilder. |
