The Health Adventure, founded in 1968, is a health and science museum for children and today's families dedicated to improving health awareness, promoting wellness lifestyles, and increasing science literacy through programs and exhibits.

What a great adventure! We have 11 year old twins and a 5 year old so finding outings that will entise both groups can sometimes be hard to find. At Health Adventure everyone had a great time, even Mom and Dad!

The upstairs is geared toward older children where as the downstairs has the "childrens museum" feel and is totally for the younger group. My 5 year old had a ball playing the in "Clifford the Big Red Dog" town. Everything from the boat (life jackets included) to the store and stage. She had a ball.

Upstairs is what I was most impressed with. So much to see and do. It really made your mind go to work. Puzzles and games around every corner. The huge spelling mat game was the best. I think all the kids were fighting over who got to go next (imagine that...wanting to play a spelling game.)

I believe they also have homeschool programs throughout the year.

This place was amazing but has since been closed. Replaced by an outlet mall! :(
