We went to the Hermitage last year and had a marvelous time. The tour of the house was extremely interesting;, the guides knew the time period, the home, and the history very well and were quite interesting; and the grounds were wonderful to explore. My youngest was very into "fairy houses" at the time and had a delightful time finding new "homes" in the flower gardens. I highly recommend this site.

This place is amazing! It is set on a huge plantation and kids can run and play outside to their heart's desire. They also have a lot of homeschool activities that are fun throughout the year. Definitely check their calendar and get in on those if you can. You will learn a lot about our 7th President. Definitely worth the trip and not too expensive.
