Facility:The State Botanical Garden of Georgia
Description:The Garden is located approximately three miles south of the University of Georgia campus. It encompasses more than 300 acres and contains specialty gardens and special collections featuring a broad array of native and exotic plants. More than five miles of nature trails traverse the natural areas, some of which border the Middle Oconee River. Educational programs and special events are offered throughout the year. The Garden and nearby Whitehall Forest have been designed an Important Bird Area.

Hours:The Garden grounds are open daily 8:00 am to 6:00 pm October-March, and 8:00 am to 8:00 pm April-September, except University of Georgia holidays.

The Visitor Center & Conservatory is open Tuesday through Saturday 9:00 am to 4:30 pm and on Sundays 11:30 am to 4:30 pm except University of Georgia holidays.
