Facility:Turkey Run State Park
Description:You'll marvel at the natural geologic wonders of this beautiful park as you hike along its famous trails. Nestled along State Road 47 southwest of Crawfordsville, you'll want to explore the deep, sandstone ravines and walk along the stands of aged forests, and enjoy the scenic views along Sugar Creek.

Visit the Colonel Richard Lieber Cabin which commemorates the contributions of the father of Indiana's state park system.

Still standing in the park is the 1811 home of Salmon Rusk, the original owner of the property.

This is a nice state park to visit. They have trails for every ability level. The scenery is beautiful. We usually like to combine our trip with a canoe trip along Sugar Creek. The youth camping area is pretty nice but could get cramped if there were more than two groups staying.

I love Turkey Run! There are hiking trails for every level. The scenery is beautiful. The river makes a great spot for picnicing nearby, or for swimming in. There is a wide variety of vegetation to learn about.
