 | Mara, Co-op Member | Very enjoyable for the whole family. It was great to be able to feed the giraffes (for only quarters in the machine instead of $5 a pop, like at other places) and the birds as well (no cost). We loved every part of the zoo and will go again next time we visit our grandparents nearby.
Plan to stay for several hours, and of course, visiting on a cooler day is easier on the family! |

 | Dawn, Co-op Member | This is our family's favorite zoo in Arizona! The addition of the 3 buildings that make up the aquarium make this zoo even better. The exhibits here often allow you to get closer or at least get a better view of the animals than across town. The attractions (sky ride, log ride, boat ride, etc.) are a lot of fun. Make sure you get in line for the lorry parrot feeding times. You are given an apple to hold for the bird to roost on your arm and eat right in front of you! The animal show is entertaining; similar to what you might have seen them do at the library or AZ State Fair. The cost is pretty steep; it is significantly cheaper to plan a field trip with a few other homeschool families. You get a huge discount on admission and much more affordable rate on attractions. |
